RG Tour Format
How the RG Tour works...
In 2011, The Recreational Golf Tour (a.k.a, the RG Tour) will have three separate season-long leagues. The leagues will be held individually at The Falls Golf Club (all ages), GC of Wentzville (50 and older), and The Landings at Spirit (all ages). You may register to compete in one league, two leagues or all three leagues - it's your choice. Each course league will require that you play at least three rounds at that course.
You may play each course as many times as you wish - at anytime that you wish. Upon registering as a member for one or more of our leagues, you will be able to log into your account, and enter your scores for each course during the season. You must play the tees that are positioned second from the tips. For example, if Blue tees are the longest tees, followed by the White tees, then you must play the White tees. When you finish your round, sign your score card, have your partner sign your score card, and have the clubhouse attendant sign the card. Leave the score card with the clubhouse. We will be keeping all score cards for our records.
Be sure to keep your score, as you will have to enter your score online through our website. Please enter all of your scores - despite the fact that our website will only count your lowest score. We want to keep track of how many rounds our golfers are playing, so please do enter all of your scores.
Our website will calculate a cumulative score across all three rounds for the league(s) in which you are playing - once you have played all 3 required rounds for the league(s) you registered for. Your cumulative score (based on the lowest score for each round) will be shown in our leader boards (which are shown in the dedicated league pages). On August 31, 2011, we will then divide the field into three flights - i.e., the Champions Flight, Silver Flight and Bronze Flight.
Champions Flight
The "RG Tour Champions Flight" will consist of golfers having the lowest cumulative scores across each course within a league, essentially the top 1/3. The championship for the "Champions Flight" will consist of an 18-hole stroke play event.
Silver Flight
The "RG Tour Silver Flight" will consist of the next 1/3 of qualifying golfers. Similar to the "Champions Flight," the "Silver Flight" championship will consist of an 18-hole stroke play event.
Bronze Flight
The "RG Tour Bronze Flight" will consist of the remaining golfers. The Bronze Flight will also be an 18-hole stroke play event.
