RG Tour Policies

1.  Rules Governing Golf

Our goal is to design and operate all of our leagues and tournaments in a way that is fair and fun for all.  To that end, our tournaments, and your participation in The Recreational Golf Tour (the "RG Tour"), will be governed by the rules listed below.  If you have any questions, or require clarification regarding any of the rules below, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1.1. The RG Tour is designed for “recreational golfers” only.  Professional golfers are prohibited from competing in our leagues.  A “recreational golfer” is a person who (a) does not play golf as a primary source of income; (b) has not competed in any tournament sponsored or operated by a nationally-recognized professional golf tour during the past three calendar years, including the PGA Tour, the Nationwide Tour, and the NGA Hooters Pro Golf Tour; and (c) has not been employed as a PGA teaching professional, or an equivalent thereof, during the past three calendar years.  Any golfer who competes on the RG Tour, but does not qualify as a “recreational golfer,” may be immediately removed from our league and will not be eligible to win any money that is awarded in connection with our leagues.

1.2. Our leagues will require that you play multiple courses, at least once, during the season.  The specific courses that you must play, and the duration of the playing season, will be specified in our website.  You will be responsible for entering your scores, for each and every round, within our website.  Scores must be entered in our website within 48 hours of completing the round.  Failure to timely enter a particular score may, at the RG Tour’s discretion, result in your score not being considered.

1.3. We will calculate a cumulative score of the lowest scores entered for each course played within a tournament.  The cumulative score will be used to create our tournament leader board, which may be viewed within this website.

1.4. The RG Tour will have the discretion to divide the leader board into separate flights.  If a particular tournament has at least 100 participating golfers, the RG Tour will divide the field into three or more separate flights.  If a particular tournament has less than 100 participating golfers, the RG Tour may, in its discretion, divide the field into two flights (or, alternatively, the RG Tour may elect to not divide the field into separate flights).  All discussions and representations within our website regarding “flights” are for illustrative purposes only, and the RG Tour reserves the right to flight, or elect not to flight, a particular tournament according to its sole discretion.

1.5. The Rules of Golf issued by the United States Golf Association (USGA) will govern all tournament and league play. There will be no "mulligans," and handicap indexes will not apply.  Under suitable playing conditions, all golfers must "play the ball down."  If the golf course is wet, and if the golf course has limited play to "cart path only" (due to the course being wet), golfers may lift, clean and replace golf balls located in the fairway (but not the rough).  The RG Tour will have the discretion to modify the USGA rules at anytime.  Any such modifications will be communicated to you via e-mail, to the e-mail address of record with the RG Tour.

1.6. The RG Tour will notify you by e-mail, regarding the tees from which you should play for each golf course that you must play for a given tournament.

1.7. At the conclusion of the season, the RG Tour will hold a championship for each flight or flights for each tournament.  The format and rules that will apply to each championship will be communicated to you within our website and/or via your e-mail address of record.

1.8. Any injuries that you may sustain during any round of golf is not the responsibility of the RG Tour.  As with any round of golf, you assume the risk that accompanies a round of golf.  The RG Tour has no control or influence over the conditions of any golf course or the behavior of any golfers who may be playing golf on such course.  You hereby forever release the RG Tour from any claims that you may bring, or threaten to bring, and damages that you may incur, which arise from or relate to any injury that you may sustain during a round of golf.

1.9. Have fun, and enjoy the competition and camaraderie.

2.  Rules Governing the Purse

2.1. The advertised purse for each tournament will be awarded to the top finishers of each flight, for each tournament.  The means by which the purse is distributed among golfers is subject to the RG Tour's discretion.  The RG Tour has the full discretion to control the number of golfers in each flight who will receive a payout, and the amount of each such payout. 

2.2. All amounts to be paid to golfers will be paid by way of check, to each golfer’s mailing address of record.

3.  Rules Governing USGA Amateur Status and NCAA Eligibility

3.1. The RG Tour distributes money to the winners and qualifiers of its tournaments and leagues. The RG Tour is not in a position to ensure that any golfer's receipt of money will not violate his/her USGA amateur status and/or National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) eligibil ity.  It will be the responsibility of each golfer to ensure that his/her participation in any tournament will not violate or jeopardize his/her USGA amateur status and/or NCAA eligibility.  If any golfer wants to participate in a tournament or league, but does not want to be eligible to win money, the golfer must select the “Amateur Status” option within our tournament registration form.  In addition, written waivers will be provided by the RG Tour upon the request of a golfer.

4.  Rules Governing Participation in the RG Tour

4.1. All participating golfers may be photographed or captured in video during, prior to, and/or following any golf round, championship, tournament, or social event sponsored by the RG Tour.  The RG Tour may capture such photographs and video for the purpose of reporting tournament results and highlights, and for promoting other RG Tour events.  To that end, all members consent to their inclusion in any such photographs and/or video, which may be published in the RG Tour's websites, emails, newsletters, promotional literature, and magazines.  All golfers who participate in our tournaments consent to their name, pictures, and "likeness" being included in the RG Tour's websites, emails, newsletters, promotional literature, and magazines.

4.2. A golfer is not considered registered until his/her registration fee has been paid. Accordingly, a golfer's spot will not be reserved unless, and until, the RG Tour receives the golfer's registration fee.

4.3. Membership in the RG Tour may provide you with certain discounts, rebates, and other benefits provided by our participating golf courses and sponsors.  You agree and understand that (a) the RG Tour, and its participating golf courses and sponsors, are not obligated, in any way, to offer (or continue offering) such discounts, rebates, and other benefits, and its practice thereof may cease or be modified, without notice, at anytime; (b) that the amount of any such discount and rebate shall be determined by the applicable golf course or sponsor in its sole and exclusive discretion; and (c) that while the RG Tour may offer the ability to seek discounts and rebates on the prices charged for various goods and services offered by the RG Tour’s participating golf courses and sponsors, the RG Tour is not responsible for the quality, timeliness, or fitness of any product or service offered by our participating golf courses and sponsors.

4.4. Never violate Rule 1.9.

4.5. The RG Tour will use your e-mail address of record as the primary means of communication with you.  You must notify the RG Tour is you wish to change your e-mail address of record.  The RG Tour will not take any steps to mail important communications to you via regular U.S. mail, if your e-mail address of record is unable to receive e-mail.  As part of becoming a member of the RG Tour, you agree and consent to receiving important information, and promotional material, from the RG Tour vis-à-vis e-mail communications.

5.  Cancellation & Refund Policy

5.1. All membership and registration fees are final (and are not refundable).  The RG Tour relies upon the receipt of membership fees to predict and publish total purse amounts, and to advertise such amounts to existing and prospective members.  As such, once a golfer registers for a tournament and submits payment, the paid amount is not refundable in whole or in part.

6.  Terms Governing Use of the RG Tour Website

6.1. This website, and each of its parts, is the property of The Recreational Golf Tour, LLC (the “RG Tour”), and/or its various third party merchants, affiliates, or sponsors.  None of the content or data found on this website may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, distributed, sold, transferred, or modified without the express written permission of the RG Tour and/or its third party merchants, affiliates, or sponsors, as applicable.  In addition, the trademarks, logos and service marks displayed on this website (collectively, the “Trademarks”) are registered or common law Trademarks of the RG Tour or its sponsors.  Nothing contained on this website should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any of the Trademarks without the written permission of the RG Tour or such other party that may own the Trademarks.

6.2. Any unauthorized use of any content or material contained on this website may violate copyright laws, trademark laws, patent laws, the laws of privacy and publicity, and communications regulations and statutes.  Any unauthorized use of such content or material on this website, including its reproduction, modification, distribution, or republication, without prior written permission of the RG Tour, or other third party if applicable, is strictly prohibited.  The use of such content or material on any other website or in any environment of networked computers is strictly prohibited.

6.3. If any user of this website interferes with others’ use and enjoyment of the services provided by the RG Tour, such user shall be deemed to be in violation of these terms.  Violations of system or network security are prohibited, and may result in criminal and civil liability.

6.4. Unless otherwise expressly authorized by the RG Tour, using this website and/or the information contain herein to send unsolicited, commercial mass e-mail messages, including, without limitation, commercial advertising and informational announcements, is explicitly prohibited. 

6.5. Although the RG Tour does not review or censor all of the materials and information which is accessible on this website, such as information contained within the blog section that may be entered by members, or other websites which may be accessed from this website, if the RG Tour becomes aware that a user of this website is in violation of any of these terms, the RG Tour reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to this website.

6.6. You represent and warrant that you are of sufficient legal age to use this website and to create binding legal obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of the use of this website.  You understand that you are financially responsible for all uses of this website by you and those using this website on your behalf.

6.7. The RG Tour reserves the right to collect, maintain, and use information that your web browser provides to the RG Tour’s web server, including without limitation the website from which you linked to this website, the identity of your Internet Service Provider, or the type of browser you are using.  The RG Tour may use such information in an aggregated form, such as to measure the usefulness and popularity of the website.

6.8. While efforts have been made to make this website helpful and accurate, due to the open nature of this website, and the potential for errors in the storage and transmission of digital information, the RG Tour does not warrant the accuracy of information obtained from this website.  The RG Tour is not responsible for typographical, pricing, product information, advertising or shipping errors.  Advertised prices and other information relating to products and services offered by the RG Tour or its third party sponsors are subject to change without notice.

6.9. While using this website, you may choose to link to third party websites that are not affiliated with the RG Tour.  The RG Tour is not responsible for the contents of these third party websites, or any subsequent links, and has no control over the contents therein.  For this reason, the RG Tour does not represent or warrant that the contents of any third party website is accurate, compliant with state or federal law, or compliant with copyright or other intellectual property laws.  All opinions expressed on third party websites are not those of the RG Tour, and the RG Tour does not endorse the contents of such third party websites in any way.

6.10. The RG Tour makes every effort to maintain 100% system availability, except during scheduled maintenance periods.  Should we experience technical difficulties, the RG Tour is not responsible for registration applications and fees that are not processed or accepted, or golf scores that are not entered into our system.

7.  Privacy Policy

7.1. The Recreational Golf Tour, LLC, also known and doing business as the “RG Tour,” respects your privacy.  Accordingly, the RG Tour has adopted the following privacy policy.  This policy notifies you of:  the organization collecting the information, what personally identifiable information of yours is collected from you through our website, how the information is used, with whom the information may be shared, what choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information, the kind of procedures we employ in an effort to hinder the unauthorized access, deletion, alteration, use or disclosure of information you provide to The RG Tour, and how you can correct any inaccuracies in the information you provide to us.  If you have questions or concerns regarding this policy, you should contact us by sending an e-mail to info@usrgtour.com or by calling 1-866-611-8741.

7.2. This policy applies to The RG Tour’s treatment of personally identifiable information that The RG Tour collects through The RG Tour’s website and when you use The RG Tour’s services.  The policy does not apply to practices of companies whose websites may be linked to The RG Tour.  For access to the privacy policies of such linked sites please refer to the information provided by such sites at their home pages. 

7.3. The RG Tour collects personally identifiable information when you request information from The RG Tour, apply for membership with the RG Tour, and purchase goods and/or services through our website.  On such occasions, The RG Tour asks for your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card information, and other personal information concerning your interests, business, occupation, and other demographic- and business-related information.  The RG Tour also receives and records information from server logs from your browser including cookie information relating to pages requested and the like.  The RG Tour does not seek to collect such information from persons under the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any such information to us.  If you are the parent or guardian of a person under the age of 18 who has provided such information to us, please inform us (through the website or telephone number listed above) and we will remove such information from our database as described further below.

7.4. No person (of any age) is required to provide us with the personally identifiable information we request.  If you do not wish to provide such information, you are free not to do so.  Your provision of requested information to us through our website or other means is presumed by us to be voluntary and with your consent to the uses described herein.  If after submitting personally identifiable information to us, you wish to “opt-out” or cancel your membership, please contact us as noted above and we will remove your information from our database.  Please know that such a decision will not stop advertising or content that is generated prior to the time when we can accomplish the removal of your information.

7.5. The RG Tour uses your personal information to customize advertising and content that we present to you, to contact you concerning specials and new services and to enhance our tournament offerings, to coordinate and implement the payment of membership fees. 

7.6. The RG Tour uses cookies to enhance the interactive nature of your Internet experience and to provide a convenient feature to save you time.  Cookies enable The RG Tour to quickly retrieve specific information from previous visits and to recall features that you may have customized on your browser.

7.7. You are entitled to request access to and correction of all your personal data collected by us via this website, as well as to require us to delete your data if you no longer want us to process it.  You can make such a request or a related inquiry by sending an e-mail to info@usrgtour.com or by calling 1-866-611-8741.  We will keep your data as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in these terms.  You may choose not to receive unsolicited marketing material from The RG Tour and you have the right to request deletion of your The RG Tour account information, subject to The RG Tour’s need to keep appropriate archives of its business operations. 

7.8. The RG Tour employs reasonable measures to maintain all personally identifiable information provided by you on computer servers in a controlled and secured environment, in an effort to hinder unauthorized access, loss, alteration, use or disclosure of such information.    However, the nature of the Internet is such that information may be transmitted over networks without appropriate security measures and may be accessed, deleted, altered, used or disclosed by unauthorized persons.  Because of the international nature of the services and products provided by this website and the nature of The RG Tour’s business, personal data may, subject to applicable law, be transferred internationally throughout The RG Tour world-wide (details of which are available on request by e-mailing or calling us as provided above) for the purposes described above.  This may mean that personal data are transferred to countries which do not have laws or regulations which protect personal data, such as the United States, where the server for this website is located.  We use reasonable measures to limit the disclosure of the data you provide to us only to certain staff within The RG Tour and its affiliates (i.e., staff whose job it is to process your inquiries or otherwise to administer the website, and those staff involved in the provision of The RG Tour services and products which may be of interest to you) and to require that they process the data only for the purposes identified in this Policy.

7.9. The RG Tour may make modifications or amendments to this policy from time to time.  In the event that such changes alter how The RG Tour gathers, processes, uses or discloses your personally identifiable information, The RG Tour will post such changes on our site.
